Title: Hello
Post by Jerry on Aug 18th, 2007 at 7:53pm
I was introduced to this forum by bikerbraid and it has taken me a while to become a member ::)

Some of you might know me as headbanger or jbsch1 from other message boards and forums.

For those who do not, I am Jerry and I am a long hair admirerer since I was a very young boy.

My wife Barb has brownish/reddish a little longer than waist length hair.

Some of my hobbies and interests include:  long hair of course, heavy metal music, watching movies, watching tv, walking, riding my mountain bike (even though I have not done much riding lately), traveling, coin collecting, watching sports on tv (NASCAR, NFL and NBA), internet surfing, playing horseshoes, bowling, miniture golf, hiking and concerts.

I am not sure what else to add but if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask (If I don't know the answer I can make one up ;D).

Jerry

I have very short hair by choice because I have very thick and curly hair which is very hard to manage.

I will share pictures of my wife and her long hair sooner or later.

Sounds good!  Look forward to the pic!  I can relate to the thick and curly and hard to manage hair thing!  When my hair was shorter it was course and wavy and just a nightmare to take care of.  As it grew; it went spiral curly, layed down and behaved!  Who knew!

I am usually in the mood for heavy metal but I also like hard rock, rock, pop, disco, most country and classical when I am in the mood for it.

Welcome, Jerry!  Another curly here- I had to get my hair past my shoulders before it started looking good.  Any other length other than reeeally short was a lot of work.

I love music, too.  Sounds like you're a busy person, with all those interests!

The longest I let mine get was about shoulder length but one time I looked at a picture and I hated how 'puffy' it looked :-[

I have a poor self image so I pretty much hate any picture of myself but that picture was the worst I thought.

Yes, I am pretty busy but I would rather be busy than wondering what to do.

I think I have to agree with your taste in music... Between mine and my boyfriend's music collection we have every metallica, megadeth, soundgarden, lacuna coil, and alice in chains album, and we're only missing the iron maiden albums from the period where B.D. wasn't singing.
you're an EOE fan>?! If I knew you better I might just hug you. :D They're number 5 on my myspace top friends list... even higher than some of my best friends and family :P

Anyway, yeah, my BF's hair is horridly curly too.

(LOL, curly, my cat attacks the speakers whenever I try to play opera! No taste, she has.)

I discovered Echoes Of Eternity on the Metal For The Masses 5 compilation and I liked the song The Forgotten Goddess so much I bought the CD 8-)

My boss and I have the same taste in heavy metal and we both like the bands with female vocalists and I am noticing there are more and more bands all the time now which is good though 8-)

I used to hate opera until I heard Therion and now I can say I like the heavy metal/opera mix 8-)

HEH. I'm pretty much obsessed with all things female vocalized metal/rock, etc. You might want to check out Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Leaves Eyes. I've not got the EOE cd yet, but I've currently got forgotten goddess playing from their myspace player. I'm typically a harp music fan, but for female metal, I'll gladly put aside my soft stuff!

I recently bought Within Temptation The Heart Of Everything and I have most of Nightwishes but I have not heard of Leaves Eyes.

I like Crucified Barbara which is an all female heavey metal band 8-)

Hi Jerry!  Sorry I'm so late in posting here.  I was traveling for business last week and the rains over the weekend prevented me from accessing the internet (stupid Quest DSL).

Glad to see you finally post here.

No problem ;)

I knew you would notice I joned sooner or later 8-)

So far I like what I have seen and I have probably read almost half of what is here so far 8-)

One thing I do like is there are more females than males that post which is not always the case with these internet forums and message boards.

This is a slower moving board than most of the others you probably frequent, and yes, it is primarily female.  Of the guys that post, most are long hairs - you and Sir Rat would be the exceptions.  We are a cozy, friendly group.  :D
