Title: Hello!
Post by Jennifer326bd on Sep 10th, 2007 at 3:32am
Here we go, I found this site while looking for long hair styles even though I don't have long hair.  I did have my hair down to the middle of my back not long ago but lately I've been regretting my decision to get it cut.  (Also guilt because my husband loves long hair)  My sis-in-law had gorgeous long blonde hair but she recently cut it!  It's now chin length  AAAAAAH!  I couldn't believe it.  I wanted her beautiful hair.  Oh well, after I found this site a spark of hope came to me.  I know I'll have full support from my husband and friends.  It's my mother and sister who'll be the weights on this journey.  I am looking forward to the trip ahead and I've been inspired by the photos of others.  (I think I'm rambling because it's so late)

A little about my hair:
I have brunette hair that is slightly longer than my shoulders.  A salon told me that my hair was fine but I had a lot of it.  It is also kind of wavy.  Right now I use a lot of heat on my hair. (I know, I know remember I'm new) Blow dryers, curling iron.  But starting right now I'll be stopping the use of those instruments.

Any tips someone might have for me I'd love to take them!  Thanks so much.

Hi and weclome to Long locks! :)

My suggestion would be to get a good shampoo and conditioner  I use Jason myself with great results.http://www.jason-natural.com/products/products.php  Also hair loves oil.  Most of use use Jojoba oil on our length.  This is a great place to start, I look forward to your progress!

Hi!  Welcome to LongLocks!  Good suggestion that Lisabelle makes is get a good shampoo and conditioner to start with.  Deep conditioning once a week is also a good idea.  Whether it's a home made recipe or store bought, your hair will thank you! :)  A good seamless comb or boarshair brush is also a very good thing for your hair.  There is alot of info. here,so browse, ask questions, offer ideas, most of all enjoy your journey and we are glad to have you aboard!! :)

Hello and welcome!  You've come to the right place if you are looking for support for growing long and healthy hair.  A good shampoo and conditioner is the first step.  Good luck!

Where do you get Jojoba oil and when do you put it in your length?  Thanks.

I get it at healthfood stores, it can also be purchased on-line.  I apply it to my length at night.  I just use a little bit and apply with fingers from the ears down. :)
