Title: HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE! Post by Sakina on Oct 31st, 2007 at 10:20am
I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Halloween. I'm curious what everyone is doing tonight.
I'll be scarring the kiddies with my haunted cemetary and sitting with neighbors in our cul de sac eating brats (as in bratwurst, not obnoxious children [smiley=evil.gif] ) and drinking beer and spiced cider and we all hand out candy together. We definately have the spookiest front yard in our neighborhood. That suits me just fine!! So, beyond the usual candy and costumes, is anyone having a ceremony? This is the New Year when the souls of those who have passed go home and the souls of those about to be born come to earth. Think about what you want to create for this upcoming year, write it down, focus on it with thought and feeling and then burn it. Let it go out into the universe so it can manifest and come back to you. Good Luck!!!!! |

lol ;D Have fun with those brats, Sakina. ;) In all honesty, I'm not sure what I'll be doing tonight. Either participating somehow in my aunt & uncle's haunted house project or sitting on my fat, lazy keister at home, handing out Tootsie Roll mix to all of the miniature Jack Sparrow's, eating fresh popcorn from my air popper, watching old horror flix on TV and chatting online. No costumes, I don't think. Neither face or body are up to it. :( Ah well. Happy Halloween!! :D |

Happy Halloween :) Happy Samhain, too :)
No plans *sigh* We live so far out in the country that we have no trick or treaters. |

Happy Halloween! :D
I'm about to head out to a few markets looking for a Buddha statue, then I'll come home to pass out candy. Not sure if I'll dress up yet. Later, I'll probably go out or rent a scary movie. |

I'm already manning the door for the little ghosts and goblins (and princesses, cowboys, dinosauers, etc) We don't get lots of kids at the door, but it is fun to see them in their costumes. I'm glad they are able to start with some daylight this year (due to the delay of returning to standard time from daylight saving time).
No costume for me, I'm lucky to get home before the kiddies! The wind is blowing the leaves all around - and it is a bit chilly here - a GREAT night for Hallloween. :D |

Bah! it wasn't even that cold here. We had to make due with the AC turned on. We don't get any trick-or-treaters here, in this neighborhood, people pretty much go visit relatives and friends houses, and that's it.. Not to mention both Paul and his dad have a reputation for being grumpy old men who have no candy. that sort of thing gets around, expecially during this time of the year. Thus, paul spent the night catching up on much needed sleep(50 something hours without any is probably not healthy) and since I'd slept most of the day yesterday, I was up until erm, 4 or so... tracing pattern pieces onto better paper, transeferring markings, and acquiring seventeen pinstabs. I did end up eating what felt like several pounds of spaghetti, and since tomatoes are like candy for me... it was all cool. I hope everyone else's night was more spooky and fun than mine, though. Happy Samhain, to all you pagans out here.
