Title: SNOW!! Post by bikerbraid on Nov 5th, 2007 at 7:56pm
It snowed today! Not enough to stick on the ground, but there was no doubt about it - it SNOWED! I love winter - I hope we get REAL snow this winter. I'd love to have a couple of real snow days this winter.

Man, you guys are lucky.
We have clouds...and sun...and air that isn't safe to breathe. :P |

I'm sure your snow will come soon enough. :D
Although it was quite warm yesterday, today we had sun, but it was a bit cool with lots of wind and still no rain. :'( |

Snow?
I was starting the Christmas display earlier. It was 92 degrees. Real hard to get in the mood. Today it was 68. No snow. ;D |

We had snow last weekend- it even lasted overnight. It was wet and sticky and a far cry from pretty fluffy postcard-snow. But it was a start.
We didn't have snow on many days last winter either. I hope this year will be better. I live in Scandinavia. I'm entitled to have lots of first quality snow to play with. *taps the foot* |

I know what you mean Galadriel - living in Minnesota, we are also expected to have lots of beautiful snow. But, sadly, the past few years we have had little snow. Global warming seems to be rearing its ugly head in our area. >:( I hope you gets lots and lots of wonderful snow this year.
MORE SNOW!! As I was writing this we just had a little snow squall! BIG HUGE flakes! I love it! |

Global warming plus Le Ninio (sp?) and the jet stream has been doing weird things this past decade and I heard the northwest will be warmer and not as much precipitation.

We've only had one storm so far this year that lasted about a day then melted.
Last year was the worst winter we've had that I can remember. I had 2 1/2 snow days from work (but had to work from home--hmmph!), and our backyard was covered in snow until April. Hopefully if we get that kind of winter again the state will be more prepared for it. Driving anywhere became quite treacherous! |

(le niņo, btw, or just nino if you haven't got a character map(whee, character maps))
Anyway. I had a dream last night, that it snowed here, and dropped about a foot of snow in an hour... I woke up and it was so hot I had to turn on the AC. I really think I'm starting to miss snow, and dry cold weather. wet cold.. sucks. |

I think global warming is our problem as well. A few degrees here or there are no biggie during warmer seasons, but when temperatures hover around freezing point, it's different. Two degrees plus means wet and cold, two degrees below freezing point mean snow and tolerable weather.
Right now it's snowing again. Very sparingly, but this time it's real snow. I have hope. |

I want snow here. Had a storm blow thru yesterday (wind, rain) colder temps this morning. We usually get snow around the 1st of the year. I would love a white Christmas ;D.

We got our first snow on November 19 and it snowed a little more a few days ago but the temperatures are supposed to go up into the 40's for highs this coming week.

We got about 8" of snow yesterday, THEN it rained on top of it. Roads were a bit slick in places :P but this snow makes it a lot easier to get into the Christmas mood. :)

We had a storm (wind, rain) move into the valley area where I live early sunday morning. It is STILL raining and the wind is STILL blowing. There is supposedly another storm front (worse than this one) moving into the area later this week. O' MAN, I want it to SNOW sooo badly. I want it cold and crisp with crunchie snow under my boots, hot chocolate to drink, ahhh-yeah!! ;D

Most of the snow we got has melted but the cold and wind have come back but it is kind of mild for this time of year around here.
