Title: HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! Post by Debr on Nov 20th, 2007 at 8:25pm
I want to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving ;D :D ;) :). Do any of you have special plans? My mom and I are going to out to dinner together. Neither of us wants to cook since it is only the two of us this year. My sister is going to my nephew's (her son) and mom and I were invited, but I thought I had to work on friday(not). My nephew lives about 3 hours from me (too far) for one day. So, I thought I would ask you what you are "thankful" for this year. I am thankful for,
1. God's love and forgivness. 2. My new job. 3. A family that loves me. 4. My friends here on LL. 5. I am well. 6. My hair is growing better and better every day. Deb |

A happy and healthfilled Thanksgiving to everyone!
Thanksgiving is a quiet time at our house. Our son and his wife are "required" to attend the all day Thanksgiving event with her family. They usually stop by in the morning to pick up the wine for the meal from us and then stop by again in the evening with the empties after it is all over. We have invited one of my husband's co-workers over for pheasant and venison dinner since he is single and has no family in the area. It will be a low-key dinner with just the fruits of hubby's hunting, sweet potatoes and cranberries. Apple pie has been made for desert already, so this dinner will not take a lot of effort on my part. That leaves me with lots of time to work on bottle socks for our Christmas wine gifts. :) We usually help serve dinner at a shelter, but this year we didn't get signed up soon enough so we just donated money to help out. I am thankful that I can do things to help others and that I have loving, supportive people around me. |

Happy Thanksgiving! My small extended family will gather at our house again, as has become custom. My parents have been gone for quite some time, and my only sister works on holidays (at a hospital) to give others a chance to be with their families. My journal entry includes a few items for which I'm thankful (hint: go read it!) :) but to list them all would take a novel. Everyone be safe and happy this holiday. :-*

My husband and I will be going to a Morroccan restaurant for dinner, they'll also have bellydance performances. We wanted to help serve food tomorrow but also went about signing up too late.
I'm greatful for everything, way too much to list, I wouldn't even know where to begin. Lifes good! :) I hope everyone has a pleasant and safe holiday tomorrow! |

I stayed home. I do thanksgiving and July4, Sister does Easter and Mother's day, and my parents do Chrismas and all birthdays. It's a holiday plan that works.
I smoked a 12lb bird for 7. Wife, me, son, son's girlfriend, sister, Mom, Dad. Yes, we are a very small family. Her parents are both passed on and her brother has his own Thanksgiving with his in-laws. Thankful for part: 1.Well, it was a horrid year financially for me, worst in 25 years we've been married, but we're not bankrupt and not in debt to anyone. 2. My wife landed a job and I survived another annual June 30 company downsize. 3. All are healthy. 4.My son has a great relationship with his girlfriend (albeit my wife has her doubts about her. And :o :o she's very much into short bobbed hair and hates long hair on anyone...) 5.The state of Missouri eliminated the IM240 emission testing for cars. 6.I won the lottery!!! No. Wait. It was only a dream. Maybe next year my $1 investment for my retirement years will pay dividends. :P |
