Title: Sodium Myreth Sulfate? Post by classielassie on Jan 1st, 2008 at 1:34pm
Happy New Year everyone!
I know to avoid SLS & SLES in my shampoo. is Sodium Myreth Sulfate (SMS) better then? Worse? about the same in badness? I've tried googling it and Wikipedia, and most of what I've found reads like scare tactics and that is coconut and some kind of petroleum mixed. (I didn't even take chemistry in school, so I am clueless). Short of going CO (which I tried - see the next post up), what's a girl to do? thanks in advance - you rock my chair! |

Sodium Myreth Sulfate (SMS) is a cousin product to SLS & SLES. I don't really have much more information than that. I know that some JASON products use SMS as an alternative to SLS.

Hi there, If you're looking for a sulfate free shampoo line, Alterna is great!
We use it in my salon and I've been using it for about 5 months now. It's expensive but worth it. You can get a big selection on Ebay for half the price! |

Baby shampoo works great for me, and is cheap!
