Title: Spring is coming!! Post by Debr on Feb 22nd, 2008 at 4:36pm
Yaaahooo!! Spring is on its way. I am sooo excited. The sun is shining, the robins are coming back. I have flowers blooming in my yard. The air is just so clean smelling. I am just exstatic!! My hair and skin are changing again tho(seasonal) and that is not real cool. But I will have the winter dryness under control very soon now. I have been really busy appling for jobs. The trick now is getting interviews, and then a job offer. But its coming I just know it ;D.

Even though we have had a pretty mild winter I am more than ready for warmer temperatures even though we have been in the 40's this whole week.
We did get snow but nothing compared to what we used to get 20 or so years ago and we did get below 0 a few times this winter. But, we have noticed more birds around but I think we have only seen 1 robin so far. Good luck on the job hunting, I hope you find something very soon ;) Jerry |

Spring?? Doesn't that require temperatures that are above 0F??!! We've been below zero most of the week. I'm hoping it will be warmer this weekend, but as this is MN, the weather conditions can and will change rapidly.
Those of you seeing a hint of spring - congrats! |

Rapid? We had a day in early Feb. where the high at noon was 73 degrees. I took a nap outside. By midnight, it was 10. The next day, 9 inches of snow. (YAY! SNOW DAY AT WORK!!!) This followed two days later by thunderstorms in the 30's. Rain on top of all that snow. Not good. It got back to 70 again. Now there is 3 inches of sleet on the ground. (yay again, more snow time from work.) Freezing rain and sleet at 15 degrees? Yep. it happened, Very odd to see rain when it's that cold. Actually it got up to 40 today and some of the sleet melted. Tonight, snow 1-3 inches expected. I've been tracking it on NOAA radar and it's still 30 miles out, so it should be here within the hour. Then it's supposed to get back to the 50's.???? But wait! More snow expected Mon.-Tues. and more Thursday. This has been a very odd month for weather. It has been joked around here forever. "If you don't like the weather in St. Louis, wait 'til tomorrow." |

Funny, it's been between 70 - 80 here in SoCal most of the time. But for the past few weeks, we've had RAIN almost nonstop. I'm loving it!!! :D

Again we have a big change a-comming! Today the high was 78 degrees. Actually seemed hot. By 9:00 AM tomorrow we expect heavy sleet followed by 3-6 inches of snow. This last 5 weeks has been a real rollercoaster weather-wise.
Maybe a snow day for Tuesday? 8-) |
