Wow, you've been to a lot of concerts! Bret Michaels... I used to think he was so good looking. I tend to have a thing for girly looking men. ;D Hope you have a good time at the next one. :D

Nice list.
God, I'm not even going to list all the shows I've been to. ;D |

Thank you ;)
Some might call me picky but a lady I work with said I was very meticulous (I had no idea what that meant so I had to look it up). I call myself a perfectionist but I guess in reality I am meticulous because I alphabetize lots of thigs such as lists I might post here and all of my CD's and DVD's I have in our apartment ::) But, like I tell people: I have a method to my madness no matter how mad it might seem ::) Jerry |

Jerry, that is to much. I bet your grammar school 2nd grade teacher is proud. To me, that is waaaay too much work. OK, I have been to: (When I was single, had money, and a real job): 1978 Ted Nugent. 1979 Ted Nugent. 1979 Angel 1979 Blackfoot. 1980 Ted Nugent. Hmm. a trend? By this time, I tired of the crowds, got married and was broke. Later: 1987 3 Dog Night in a 500 seat theater with 3 of original 5 members. 2003 Trans Sibierian Orchestra 2006 Manheim Steamroller I've been to many local band concerts held outside or in small venues. I really wish I was old enough to have been to Woodstock. That would have been a real blast. I'm a numbers person. I tend to remember things by year. (but not in any order. Chaos rules the listing area in my brain) |

You have seen the Motor City Mad Man three times 8-) I bet he put's on a great show. He has actually been to Montana more than once.
I saw his signature on his corporation tax form which he files under the name The Amboy Dukes. I would love to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra 8-) But I would be shocked if they came to Montana. Jerry |

Yep, for the technology available at the time, it was a pretty good high energy show. All three ended up with me waking up the next morning somewhere other than home.... KSHE interviewed him last fall for the gun show. He is a fairly intelligent man and fluent speaker.
Now TSO is a real show. Not only do you get the rock band, but you get a locally hired 8 piece orchestra, (in our case it was the St. Louis Strings), and they hire local singers for the night's show. My sister took me as a Christmas present cause there's no way I could have afforded the $50 tickets myself. Some of the tickets were in the $200 range! |

Woo hoo! KSHE-95 St. Louis. I used to live in St. Charles and listened to KSHE all the time. Ahh, a fond memory.
Sounds like an awesome Christmas present. Do you use TSO's music in your Christmas light show? |

Actually I used a Manheim Steamroller song and some techno stuff in the light show last year. So when did you live in St. Charles? I plan to use a TSO next year, (provided I get off my can and program it).. I used to listen to KSHE faithfully in the late 60's and into the 70's when it was more an underground station before it was bought out by Emmis. Back then you could go to the window there in Crestwood where they spun albums to make a request and get free bumper stickers and hats. I grew up just south of the Crestwood location. Pretty much now I only listen to it on the way home from work. |

Rodent, I lived in St. Charles from 1980-1985. I really liked living there.

Interesting! I worked in St. Charles in 79- 1980 at the hospital on 5th street. I rode my bike over the old 115 bridge a few times as well in that era. The 115 bridge is now gone so bike travel into St. Charles is not possible or even legal.
They put in a bike trail along the RR tracks that goes through there. It goes al the way from St. Charles to Sedailia. I've only been as far as Herman on it which was a 113 mile round trip. |

I think I've been to the winery in Herman.

I can now officially say I have seen Saliva and Drowning Pool in concert 8-)
The night started at 7pm sharp with a band called City Sleeps which are very good sounding 8-) At the end of all three bands playing I bought their CD Not An Angel and three of the band members signed the actual CD ;) After City Sleeps, Drowning Pool took the stage and if you like heavy bands this is a must see :o They did a cover of Billy Idol's Rebel Yell which was not too bad. The only song they did not do was Step Up and the crowd went nuts when they did Bodies 8-) And last but not least Saliva put on a great show 8-) I forgot they do the song Click, Click, Boom, Boom :-[ And the lead singer said his favorite song to do live is Ladies And Gentlemen and it sounds just as good live 8-) It was standing room only but we stood in the back against a wall and sat on the floor in between acts and we could see pretty much every band member of each band. I think we got our $50 worth and I am really glad we got to see them ::) Jerry |

I found out that Willie Nelson is coming back to our state and I am half way thinking of maybe going to see him if the tickets are not ourragageous :-/
But, the biggest thing is that it is about a four hour drive to where he is going to be from where we live :P So, we could do it in one trip or do like we did with Judas Priest and get a motel somewhere :-/ We should have gone when he was closer a few years ago ;D Jerry |
