The only place I have been in Canada is the very southern part of Alberta just to say I have been to Canada ::)
I would love to go overseas as well but the first country I want to visit is Germany and the U.K. If you like mountains (and I mean high mountains, not hills like some people think hills are mountains), Montana is a great place to visit. Glacier Park is a neat place even though most of the glaciers are melting way too fast. And most of the people are pretty nice and friendly. One of my favorite states to visit is Colorado but it has been a long time since I have been there. Jerry |

I'm not sure I remember all the states I have visited, here's my attempt to list them:
Minnesota Wisconsin South Dakota North Dakota Iowa Montana Idaho Utah Washington Oregon California Utah Nevada Arizona New Mexico Colorado Nebraska Missouri Kansas Texas Oklahoma Louisiana Georgia Alabama Florida Tennessee Kentucky Illinois Indiana Michigan Ohio Virgina Pennsylvania New York Washington DC Maryland Hawaii I've also been to Vancouver BC Winnipeg Manitoba Toronto Ontario Mexico City Mexico Nassau Bahamas I may have visited a few more states out east, but I was fairly young and don't remember them. Edited to add Georgia |

Do airports count? If they do, then
Arizona Arkansas Colorado Florida Idaho Illinois Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Massachusets Mississippi Missouri Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire New Mexico New York North Carolina Oklahoma Oregon South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Virginia Washington Washington, D.C. Wyoming Also, Austria Bahamas Bahrain England Egypt Germany Mexico The Netherlands Saudi Arabia Spain If they don't, take off New York, England, Germany, and the Netherlands |

Yes, airports do count :) Even if you rode a train through a state that would count too.
I went through Arizona on Interstate 15 but it was not an actual visit and it was so brief I did not list Arizona since I really did not visit it. So, I could include Arizona but only as briefly traveling through the very tip of the northwest of the state. Maybe I should start a thread of what countries people have been to ::) Jerry |

Oh. I was only counting places that I'd actually stepped foot in for at least an hour or so, but if all airports and just driving through counts, then I've been to many more places. ;D
I forgot to mention that I'd also like to go to Alaska. I hate the cold but I'd love to visit there once. |

On business, flown direct:
Detriot, Mi. (too many times to count) Denver, Co. Orlando, Fl. San Diego, Ca. Eau Claire, Wi. (driven to from Mineapolis) which included the airport in Minneapolis, Mn. And a stopover, if it counts being in a state while only being in an airport: SLC, Ut. On a family trip in 1969 when I was preteen age: Kansas Colorodo Utah Nevada Arizona New Mexico Texas Oklahoma (with a very brief trip into Mexico. My honeymoon to New Orleans (driven) included: Arkansas Kentucky Tennesee Mississippi Louisiana My fishing trip to Canada in '80 was also a drive: Iowa Minnesota Illinois had a drinking age of 19 in the mid 70's. Therefore I include it because it's close and visited a bar there on old Hwy. 50 often. Short answer: 20 states total. My parents have made all 50. |

I hadn't realized how many states I had been to until I started that list. Having worked a consulting job that required travel helped me get to many of those states. My current job also requires travel and has added several more states to the list. When I retire, I hope to bike in all 50 states. Hubby and I are drooling over a bike trip in the fall to the northeast. Don't know if we can swing the finances for it yet, but it does look lovely! |

A goal I should set for myself is to visit every capital and capitol building in every state which is a total of 49 because the only capitol building I have been in is the one in our state ::)

Ha Ha, that beats me by one. I once drove in front of the Capitol building if Jeff City but it was midnight and I was on a driving binge to get out of my parents house for the night. (I was only 19 at the time and Jeff City is 120 miles away. |

Wow. I don't like to drive so I never thought of getting away from my parents by driving. I used to look out the window and wish aliens would come and take me away. |
