Ok, who stole spring?

Saturday morning I woke up to an inch of snow on the ground and blowing snow in the air.  Hubby and I were scheduled to work at the archery range spreading wood chips.  In a driving snow storm???!!!!!  So we bundled up in our winter gear (flannel lined pants, wind pants, winter coats, hats, gloves) and headed out.  The outdoor ranges looked beautiful - snow covered ground, the deer and turkey were out feeding.  About 30 of us idiots are out there spreading wood chips!!  The wind chill was single digits.  Shheesshh - it's the end of APRIL!!

After a couple of hours of freezing our faces and fingers, we were allowed to move to an indoor job.  I never thought glueing targets could be such a great job - but at that point ANYTHING indoors would have been a great job.  

Sunday was also cold, but at least the snow was no longer on the ground (but there were still flakes in the air.)  This morning is it still cold and the high is to be in the low 40's.  

WHERE IN THE HECK IS SPRING???????

Spring is going on down here-you're welcome to thaw out at my house.

Dunno what you're talking about, BB. It was over 100° all weekend here in SoCal.  :P

It's been like that where I am too! Except instead of being constantly cold it's changing its mind, pretending to let in some sunshine for a few hours, then back to freezing, raining, and occasionally hailing.

But I suppose living in WA, the stereotypical rain, rain, rain, shouldn't be too much of a surprise. ::)

Parts of our state is still getting a foot of snow in the mountains but in our area it looks like spring might actually be here 8-)

One sign is the spiders are out which I do not mind but I saw a hornet which is not on the top of my bugs I do like list ::)

And, we did have a few days in the 70's so far and this coming monday is supposed to be in the lower 70's 8-)

AmandaC, hello, and I agree with you.  I live in Oregon we are getting rain, snow, hail, lots of wind, some sun, and thunder and lightning.  It is really crazy here.

BB - where is Spring.  Certainly not in Oregon!

Spring is really hiding from us here in Minnesota.  We did have one day this week that hit 60 for a high.  But otherwise we've had highs in the 40's.  I've been biking to work with temps in the 30's.  Colder than I like, but since we sold my car, I don't have much choice at the moment!!!  Normally I'd have nice biking weather by now.

Luckily, we've been having spring like weather here in GA.

I can't help but think of Prince's song though.  "Sometimes it snows in April...sometimes I feel so bad, so bad".  But I suppose he could relate...being from Minnesota himself. ;)
