Here is a picture of 2 fawns and their mother doe 8-)
There is also another doe and 2 fawns in the neighborhood but they were across the street at the time I took this picture. Last time I heard, our town has about 700 deer living inside the city. They usually leave people alone but a few of the bucks have gotten aggressive and have killed a couple of dogs so far. Jerry |

I read somewhere that the type of environment we (humans) like, grassy, semi-wooded areas, are exactly what deer like. So when we develop new areas, we develop the kind of habitat deer thrive in.

Some people here would like the deer to be gone one way or another :o
I tell people they were here first so if they don't like them they should think about that ::) Jerry |

They're soooo cute!!! They don't look real though...I guess it's that deer in the headlights look. ::)
When I was living in Pittsburgh, I had an apartment that was in an industrial area that wasn't woodsy at all. However, late one night, I was at my desk near my window, and I saw two deer running up the street. I couldn't believe my eyes because like I said, the area wasn't at all where you'd expect to see deer. I called the police and they sent animal control out to get them. It was so odd, but at the same time it was a cool sight. |

A fellow that I once dated used to have an apartment in Seattle, WA...and deer would come up to his back porch to get the cat food that he would leave out there for them.

My dad lives 10 miles from the city and when he was building his/our house elk would rub up against the little camper trailer he was staying in :o But now there are too many people in that area so the elk stay way up high.
He does have deer and he has even named most of them 8-) One of them has become brave enough to eat from his hand. But, deer are just like any other animal and will go wherever the food is ::) Jerry |
