Hair Mask for All Hair Types
Avocado oil has superior ability to penetrate and moisturize the hair shaft. It's also easier to rinse out than olive oil. If you can't find avocado oil, try macadamia nut or walnut oil. Remember to refrigerate these oils and let them warm up to room temperature before use.

1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 tablespoon honey

Use immediately, first washing your hair with your favorite shampoo, adding 1 tablespoon baking soda. The baking soda rinses residue from the hair and also opens the hair cuticle so the mask can be absorbed easily. Coat hair thoroughly and leave on for a minimum of twenty five minutes. Use as needed. For thick or long hair double recipe.

Hair Mask for Oily Scalp
The enzymes in the ripe papaya exfoliate the scalp without stripping.

1/2 to 1/4 ripe papaya
2 tablespoons cornmeal

Scoop out papaya seeds and mash with a fork in a glass bowl. Add cornmeal and mix. Use immediately, spooning contents onto one inch partings in hair and lightly massage. Leave on 15 minutes. Can be used on wet or dry hair.
