That is an interesting style - I never knew what it was called.  I love to "knot" my hair an use hairsticks to hold it in place.

I absolutely donīt understand the description  ??? I know why I love my simple bun  ;D But I just tried Patrick Cameronīs nape knot. Considering I did it the first time I think itīs quite ok ;) Needs a little more practise  :P

Your nape bun looks great.  And, of course, the hairstick absolutely *makes* the do!  ;D

E., I need help please!  :D

I found the Nape Knot on HairBoutique, but I can't manage it on myself! My hands get tangled up in each other trying to make the bottom loop! I was trying to use your idea and secure it with a hairstick but it feel out before I could do that. Did you use any pins in addition to the stick? At first I thought my hair was too short but it is much longer than the model's hair that he used to demonstrate. It must be easier for you, having more hair to wrap around the bottom! Also, did you secure the low ponytail before making the loop? I am so useless when it comes to styles  ;)

Hi Leia,

just doing my hair for my grandparentīs 50īth wedding anniversaire- big party :D My dad has to do pics later on.

Ok, the trick I used was a second ponytailholder  8)
One is used to do the ponytail. I took the second one deep, only leaving open the part I wanted to wrap around the first ponytailholder. You need not to much, guess a third of the tail- two thirds between the holders and one third to wrap. Now you can easyly pin the two ponytailholders together with some bobby pins.
No wrap the leftover hair and pin under the tail with some other bobby pins. The Geisha Stick was only to dress up!

Have fun :)

P.S. I surely do NOT have more hair than you- it looks much thicker than it actually is   :'(

Ooh, thanks E.! That's a great trick and I will try it!

Here's how some people find out how thick their hair is. In my signature at the bottom, you will see something like 2aNiii. That means my hair is slightly wavy, Normal strands (as opposed to fine or coarse), and thick. "Thin" hair is classified as having a ponytail which is less than 2 inches, normal hair is 2-4 inches, and anything above that is thick.

What you have to do is put your hair in a ponytail, and measure the above the ponytail holder. My ponytail measures 5". I'm sure yours is similar because your hair certainly looks thick!  ;D

Bad news: I measured wrong- Itīs 1,5 inches- you see, *really* thin.
Evidently all Germans have thin hair, because my doctor said I shouldnīt worry because my hair had been extraordinary thick and now it was in the german average. A cold comfort  :'(

Are you sure you measured right?Your hair looks REALLY thick, and I,with my baby-fine hair have a 4 inch ponytail circumference-somehow this canīt be?(I measured several times) ??? ??? ???

Oh  :o I did not measure circumference but diameter  ???
If that was wrong  ??? I will try again later on...
Other women measure their breast circumference and we are mad about an inch more hair  ;D

Circumference 3,35 inches- Annemarie you won ;)
Leia, want to have 5" too *greedy* Someday Iīll find the wonder drug that will bring back all my hair  ;D

I was not able to get MSM yet. Ebay was sold out and the vendor you told me had difficulties to deliver  ::)

Thereīs another seller offering MSM at E-bay.de at the moment and at a very reasonable price-10 Euros with buy-it-now.The sellersīID is  jophiel4 .
I know Iīm repeating myself here ;) ,but MSM has really worked wonders for me,from shedding quite a brushful of hair to almost zero.
