Great link.  Thanks for sharing.  I have passed it along to my future daughter-in-law!

I just found another website that could be useful:

Thanks for the 2nd site!  No, she hasn't decided on her hairstyle yet.  The wedding is in May, so her goal is to decide on the style by March.  Meanwhile she is still growing it out and looking at lots of pictures.  Her hair could be almost waistlength by the wedding, if she doesn't cut it before then.

The second dilemma, is how am *I* going to wear my hair?  ???

Yes, the groom´s mum has to be pretty as well  ;D
Maybe you should do some of your sprecial braids your husband liked so much as you mentioned. I am absolutely in love with simple, elegant updos maybe this could be an option for you too.

Hey, Bikerbraid, I've got a suggestion for you!  :)

Over on TLHL, I posted a thread about a page on HairBoutique that showed a half up style, and I didn't quite get how it was done. Then Neil popped in and posted instructions for it; it's nice as an updo and a half up style! Try it!  ;D

Here's the link: http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/thread?forumid=235232&messageid=1065087766

Cool Leia, I wanted to do the style but couldn´t. Maybe with the new directions it will go well  ;D

I wear my hair up like that quite often.  It is a very quick and easy updo for hair longer than mid-back. I guess I need to find a dress first, then decide what accessories I will need (maybe even splurging for a LongLocks HairStick!!!!)

Thanks for the ideas!

I didn't recognize the style from the original instructions, but the additional ones were quite clear (pictures are always great!)  That is a great style for holding a bun all day.

I remeber Neil!  He used to subscribe to the original longlocks listerv.  He was always very nice and extremely helpful.  Haven't heard from him for a long time, glad to hear he's still out there somewhere :)

He's very helpful and so talented with long hair styles. I love this style that he showed, and it actually works with my hair! Yay  :)

Will you be offering tours?  What will the admission be?  I wonder if 1 day would be enough time, or should we plan on 2 days to see it all?  Will the beads and crystals be included in the tour?  Will there be an extra charge to see that area?   hee hee hee  ;D

Here's hoping the move goes smoothly and nothing is damaged!

No you wouldn't, it's a mess, LOL!

I'll have to take pics of the new studio once I have it all set up.  In the meantime, did you know there are some shots of the goodies in my current studio on the website?  The link is http://www.longlocks.com/studio.htm

Hey, that's an idea!  Maybe I should offer tours to help pay for our outrageous mortgage.  I'll throw in a Swarovski 101 class too, LOL!  Will you be the first to sign up?  ;)

Here's a couple pics our real estate agent took, though I unfortunately don't have one of the finished basement yet :/

Wow, that looks like such a nice house! It's so big and look at that huge garden! Our house is huge too, but we don't have a garden. I really wish we did, though!

The back is actually bigger but I hate to garden.  When I'm done with it, it will be nothing but trees!

May I move with you  ;D? What a beautiful house and a beautiful garden.
I hate gardening too but I love the garden but we only have a lot of grass and on it the pool so there are not that much flowers  :-/

Wonderful house - thanks for the virtual tour!  I would agree on your favorite part of the house.  Hmmmm, does it come with the furniture?  I would not have anything that would look right in a house of that beauty.  You will need to update us after the move and you have your kimonos properly displayed.

Actually, I have three houses worth of furniture... Richard's before we were married, my Mom's before she passed away, and mine.  I've had so much stuff in storage for so long I can hardly remember what's in there.  Most of it is Asian design.  We were originally going to build a Deltec (check them out at http://www.deltechomes.com, they are *so* kewl) on some land I own in Newark, DE but decided it was too much work with our hectic schedules and then I fell in love with this house.  It's still a lot of work just to move, tho :/

I'll try to remember to take pics when I get  everything the way it's gonna be.  God knows how long that will take tho!

Oh my - THREE houses worth of furniture??  That would be a challenge to work with.  I guess we will just have to wait patiently for your move and setup of the new house, just as we have been waiting patiently to see your hair streak!  ;D

Yeah, fortunately they were all small houses and the new one has a ton of space for storage!

I still don't have my camera back so no streak.  I'm about to do it red with Manic Panic since I couldn't get it as white as I wanted it.  I want to give the streak a long rest before I bleach it any more and since my natural haircolor is auburn I figure a bright red streak would look really kewl.  I figure I'll hold off on the blues or purples until I'm trying to impress my new snotty neighbors, LOLOLOL!

How about I move my son's wedding to your house - you could house both families!  (But you better hide the kimonos - there could be some fighting amoungst the families).

And I think the red streak would be quite nice - yes save the blues and purples for the RIGHT moment.
