Can anyone offer advice for finding a salon that caters to long hair in my state?  I live in Nebraska, and all the long hair sites that I have visited do not have any long hair salons listed for Nebraska.  :(  I was wondering if there might be any organization that I could check with to find a salon either here or in Iowa.  

My hair is "finally" to my shoulders- I've been growing it for almost two years from a little pixie cut.  I have thyroid disease (which is controlled with meds), so my hair grows very slowly.  I need a salon that supports my growth, because I can't afford to lose any length to damage or over-zealous scissors!

Any advice would be appreciated! :)
