Title: Eowyn
Post by Eowyn on Mar 1st, 2004 at 4:55pm
Hi!  I am 37 yrs. old, single and living in the South.  I moved here to Arkansas to finish my master's degree in creative writing and journalism.  I have always loved fantasy novels, TV shows and movies, and thus have been obsessed with long hair  (Hey, "The Highlander" might have been a bit cheesy at times, but Duncan Mcleod always had sexy hair!)   ;)  I don't understand why more men (in real life) don't realize the power of long hair.  If I was Jason Isaacs (who played Colonel Tavington in "The Patriot," Lucius Malfoy in "Harry Potter" and Hook in "Peter Pan" all who had long, flowing hair) I would have to grow my hair long.  What's with the fuzzy crew cut  ???  Ugh!

Sorry- I'm ranting.

I think I must have this fantasy that if I just grow my hair really long, I, too, will have someone like Aragorn falling at my feet...  sigh.

Anyway, I have long, wavy blond hair that is similar to Eowyn in "The Lord of the Rings" but not quite as long.  I use lots of different products, including Nexus Kerapro, Joico, Rusk, and Aveda.  Lately I have been spending horrible amounts of money on hair stuff, including hair stix!

I'm with you on wishing more guys would have long hair.  I think it can be very masculine.  However, at my age, most men are worrying about losing their hair so long hair is pretty much out of the question.

Have you published any works yet?  Do you have anything "in the works" that you would be willing to share with us?  I've been following a novel written about 2 high school girls (both with long hair) that takes place in the 70's.  I wouldn't call it a professional novel, but it is fun to read, and the author also illustrates it himself.

I'll get the link and post it in a thread here.
