Title: Clarifying Post by Kate on Apr 14th, 2004 at 8:14pm
Hello all!
It's been about 2 months since my last shampoo, I've been using only conditioner when I wash. It might be my imagination, but my hair seems to have got darker and duller as well. Has anyone else experienced this? I was wondering what I should use to clarify if I'm avoiding shampoo. Is it enough to do a vinegar rinse or should I try something else? /Kate |

I'd think a vinegar rinse would be enough. It certainly couldn't hurt.
How do you like how your hair looks and feels with your conditioning only? |

My hair is so soft and non-frizzy nowadays, I always have had a problem with frizzies and bushy hair before. It seems curlier too, if that's possible! Some days (like today) I don't have to use any products on it at all.
Like I said, the only strange part is that my hair is darker now, and not shiny at all. Then again, I used to use silicone products on my shiny, short hair so maybe I just don't have shiny hair :'( /Kate |

Conditioners frequently have waxes in them that can build up on the hair shaft. This can cause hair to look darker and less shiny. A vinegar rinse should help remove that build up and return the shine to your hair (and probably lighten it up a bit, if that is what is darkening it).
Sounds like the CO washes are working for you otherwise. That's great! |
