Title: Dabur Amla Hair Oil
Post by Rapunzel on Jul 13th, 2004 at 5:12pm
I haven't tried this but it was recommended to me by a customer from Greece yesterday, and she was kind enough to send me the link.  The site sure looks interesting, though I haven't had a chance to really explore it yet.  I also haven't had a chance to figure out if they ship worldwide or not.

Well, what are you doing all day??? Playing with beads???   ;D

I did a quick run through the site, they do list distributors in North America (Click on the Exports tab - then the drop down for Distribution Networks).

Sounds like a lovely product for dark hair.  Anyone want to make a personal testimony on it?

I have used this product before and liked it.  It is very heavy but my hair loved it.  It dose contain mineral oil and some people do not like the smell.  I found it best to use in the winter or if you have very dry hair and scalp. It does darken the hair BTW8)

I have never used that product. But it is very popular in the Middle East, and if you have any Middle Eastern stores around you you might find it- especially if they're Pakistani, they have other oils as well and at very low prices.

ETA- they have a lite Amla oil too

Beesan 16: Oh, a lite Amla oil! I've got to check that out!  Yes the prices are great at these stores.  I have about 5 in my area.  I also get rose water there too along with cooking stuff, Punjab snacks and fresh made henna paste for mendi!

Dabur Amla hair oil is nice, its actually an Indian (Ayurvedic type of product) you can get it from Indian grocery stores, for a very cheap price.I paid around 2-3 dollars for a big bottle of it.It smells good.I use it occassionally and not every day,cuz I have dark blonde hair, and I dont need any darkening affects, many of the Indian hair oils contain henna, and do discolor the hair!so be careful if your a blonde...
