Anyone ever used Pantene Pro-V?  Ive been using it for awhile now and my hair seems shiny after i use it  but for anyone else that has thick, frizzy hair.... is there something better to use that can help take frizzies away?

If your hair can handle the silicones that are in Pantene, it is a good product for the frizzies.  I used to use it as my regular shampoo and did like how smooth and shiny my hair would be, but the -cone build up on my hair eventually caused damage.  

Some people can use the -cones without problems, some find it helps to clarify regularly with something like a vinegar/water rinse to remove the buildup.

pantene is yummy! i say, if it works...use it! but remember to clarify regularly....once a week/2weeks should be sufficient.

I saw this in a giant bottle at Sam's Club. I didn't remember the exact name of the product mentioned here, and there were two or three different types from the same line. I bought the one that says "smooth and sleek" rather than one that has "more body" on the label.

I put it on as my last conditioner. It's true, it makes my hair totally sleek and shiny and silky. Not only that, but it makes it look redder and more sparkly. Not that I was expecting this, but I love it! :D

sorry if this soudns stupid.. but the only thing you can use to remove buildup is vinegar and water? Would'nt that make your hair stink?

Not necessarily... I do vinegar rinses after shampoo and before conditioner, not getting the vinegar smell afterwards. Especially after the hair dries... the hair lightly smells of vinegar only when the hair is wet.

If you're not too fond of vinegar, you can also de-cone with any shampoo specifically labeled "clarifying".

I use the vinegar between my shampoo and conditioner.  I've never noticed a vinegar smell to my hair after using the conditioner.

I CO (conditioner only) wash, which means no shampoo. So I wet my dry hair with the vinegar water first, then rinse it right out.

I guess I didn't rinse the vinegar out completely the other day, because my boyfriend said I smelled like sweet-and-sour sauce.  ;D  ::)

The purpose of the vinegar rinse is to remove conditioner buildup from your hair, so you don't want to use it right after your conditioner, otherwise you'll lose the conditioner residues you just put in, and your hair will be unconditioned.

i actually use Pantene's clarifying shampoo cos i HATE vinegar....the smell is urgh  ::) the shampoo is a v.good clarifyer but your hair squeaks like crazy after (kinda feels a bit stripped) so i use a deep conditioner afterwards to put back all the moisture. my hair comes out lovely after all that!
