Title: Went Wild with "Topsy Tailer"
Post by DSW on Jul 18th, 2004 at 5:54pm
My wife and I found a "Topsy Tail" thingy in the drawer this morning and kinda went wild using it.  :) I don't quite know what to call this but it's different. It's sort of a cross between a french braid and half up tails. Maybe we should play "name that hairstyle" (HaHa).  ;)

I guess "bunjies" would be an improvement.

That looks really cool! I wish I could get my french braids to looks that good. What is a topsy turvey? Is it some kind of braiding tool?

I just noticed that my new mailman has the longest hair I have ever seen on a guy. It's about a 1/2 foot past his butt. He puts it in this really long rope braid. I want to ask him if I can take a picture but I'm too shy.

DSW - that is a very cool style!  You could braid the tail and have a great style for controlling your hair.  I never would have thought about doing several tails like you did - I'll have to try that myself.   Now where in the heck did I last see my Topsy Tail??

Hey DSW, I can't see the image. Where did it go? I'm super-curious about the topsy-tail hairstyle!

Hey Folks

That reminds me I recently saw a stewardess with a topsy-tail do. All the rage in the 80's and early 90's, but where did they all go?? lol

It loaded now, guess the site was down temporarily.

That hairstyle looks really groovy! I bet you could do it in reverse too, i.e. start at the nape and topsy-tail upwards and bun the rest at your crown. Inspiring!

Kate;

Thanks for the suggestion. Neat idea - I think I'll try it sometime and post pictures if it looks OK.
