Title: Perfect Endings
Post by heatherdaisyy on Jul 29th, 2004 at 3:24pm
I've recently started using andrew collinge's perfect endings which is meant to be specially for long hair. However my hair is now dry and frizzy. It's never been in such bad condition even though I live in a really hard water area. (Something which I can do nothing about at the moment short of buying a britta filter thingy) I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems with this product.

I was also wondering if there were any products for long hair that actually do work? Or is the emergance of this kind of product just a clever marketing ploy? Are they any different from normal products? :-/

I've not seen this product before.  I checked a website for the ingredients, but they don't give a complete list.

Dry,crunchy ends can sometimes come from too much protein, or a build up of silicone type ingredients.  Both of these can be remedied by using a clarifying shampoo or doing a water/vinegar rinse to remove the build up.

You could be experiencing the "too much of a good thing" syndrome that we are all tend towards.

It was designed by a british hair dresser so I suppose it can't be that bad. But I think i'll switch back to a normal shampoo/conditioner now anyway. I've already bought some jojoba oil and will start with the vinegar rinse to try and remedy the situation.

I'll just have to pray for the hair Gods to shine on me once again. ;)

After closer inspection of the Perfect Endings bottle I can only find one cone: dimethicone. So obviously my hair has always been in bad condition, but has just been hiding behind a barrier of cones.  :'(

So for anyone in the UK looking for a seriously low cone product this is the one.

Now back to repairing my hair.  :(
