Help! ok i have curly blond hair and i do bleach it and color it blond.  I am noticing that it is coming out in clumps!  i started taking biotin which i hope helps.  But i need to know the best treatment out there for dry frizzy hair??  i want nice ringlets, and i just get frizzy dried out hair. I know its from the bleach but i like my hair blond. I just want to know how to make my hair nice and soft and beautiful!

Sorry to hear your hair is coming out in clumps.  How often are you coloring it?  Bleaching hair is extremely hard on the hair.  Sounds like you probably need LOTS of moisturizing for your hair.  There are some homemade moisturizers listed under theHair Care Recipe Cookbook.  You might try some of them.  Oiling your hair might also help.  I use jojoba oil on my hair when it gets dry.

I almost hate to mention this, because so many long haired people are anti-cones, but you might try some of the silicone based products - Pantene and Fructis are 2 that come to mind, along with John Freida's Brilliant Blonde (something like that).  The silicone ingredients will smooth the hairshaft which will make it look shiny and smooth.  If you condition properly, the silicone will help retain the moisture.  HOWEVER, I recommend using a clarifying shampoo or rinse (like a vinegar rinse) regularly to minimize or eliminate any build-up of the -cones.

If you're not already doing it, give CO a try. This helped me a *lot* and since I stopped blow-drying my hair I haven't had much of a frizz problem.

I also recommend -cones, they are great for taming frizz and flyaways. Do a vinegar rinse every other week and make sure to condition thoroughly afterwards. Don't skimp on the deep conditioning treatments.

There is no "best" hair treatment - different things work for different people. Olive oil, which is heavy, works well for me, but might not work well for you. Is your hair fine or medium/coarse? You might try jojoba or almond oil. Also, try deep conditioning treatments. You can use kitchen ingredients such as honey, bananas, eggs, etc.

Hi, I'm a new member and I just had to reply to this. One of the best treatments for my B/S length curly hair  is coconut oil! Of all things - it's the cheapest and easiest to use. Also, there is a range called "Gum" , which is manufactured in the UK. They make the yummiest conditioner with a citrus aroma that is absolutely fantastic! It smells delicious and leaves my hair soft, silky and shiny.

YAY! Another coconut oil fan! I'm a big advocate too and I'm sure everyone here is sick of hearing me talk about coconut oil. LOL!  ;D

does this fractioned coconut oil smell like coconut cuze it could be a good solution for my bf who hates the smell of coconut!

The fractionated coconut oil I have smells like nothing at all. I prefer virgin coconut oil, as I like the natural tropical fragrance (reminds me of tropical drinks consumed in tropical countries in my youth, perhaps  ;D)

I only use fractionated when I need a liquid that will stay liquid.

I know I am replying to an older post but I thought it would help if anyone else has a similair problem.

If your hair is curly I would try not brushing or combing it while it is drying so that your curls form nicely.  I also would ONLY comb with a detangling comb in the shower with conditioner.  Doing this will eliminate any breakage.  I dont even own a brush (they are all my DD's).  I noticed a huge difference in the health of my hair and had a more defined curl when I stopped brushing.  

It seems like there is some great advice in this thread, especially CO washing only.  I highly reccommend CO washing.  Deep Treatments once a week is great too for your damaged hair.  Try doing a protein treatment followed by a moisturizing one.  Bleached or colored hair usually does well with protein because it fills in the 'gaps' in the cuticle of the hair, which was damaged from the dyeing.
