Title: February 2005
Post by bikerbraid on Feb 2nd, 2005 at 10:30am
With so many having measured in January, I don't know who will pop in to measure this month.  But here's the thread for those who want to announce their growth!

I didn't want to start the thread as I have really nothing to announce.

My hair hasn't grown at all (tried to measure 5 times, result differed few millimeters every time so there might be minimal growth), so January's result of 55 cm/21.65 in still stands. Hope that there's something clearer next time.

No much to crow about this month.  I'm at 16 7/8".  But I got a trim - probably about 3/4" which means I could have had  1/2" growth or so.  Still waiting for layers to grow out too, but they are getting there :)

35.9 inches--not quite a half inch. I'll have to try horsetail this month.

34.4" (around 87.4 cm)

it means i more or less grew 1.5 cm in a month! maybe biotin does work on growth rate after all  ;)

update:
february 19th: little trim of 2 - 5 mm (to even out ends)
i just used the second step of feye's method for a blunt cut this time. it's a lot more handy, even with no help.

Way to grow, ladies! ;D As for me, I'm still not measuring (not measuring until Beltaine in May)!

My number for now is 74cm (37 inches)
And I decided to measure the length I need for my first (waist) and my ultimate goal (classic length):
83cm for waist
111cm for classic length
I wish I were short!!!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is Beltaine?

Hi Preciouslocks,

Beltaine is a Pagan holiday in early May, the first full moon in Taurus. It marks the beginning of Spring and has been secularized as "May Day".

HTH ;)

Oh... blarg... I don't know when it is this year. I'd have to check. No calendar with moons nearby my computer. ;D But yeah, it's the first moon in Taurus or the first moon in early Mayish, so you can check.

I'm not going to measure mine this month. Last month my hair was exactly 36 inches but since then I trimmed off about 3/4  of an inch  :'( to make the shape more straight across. I'll think I wait a month or two till it grows back.   ;)

January's measure: 23 inches

February's Measure: 24 inches.

and I had to get my other half to help me measure it because it was too long for me to do it myself properly. *lol*

Sorry I'm a bit late with my measurement.

Your never late with a measurement - we take them any time you want to give them!

Doesn't feel great when you need help with measuring BECAUSE IT IS TOO LONG!?  Congrats.

Yeah, it does kinda feel great.
And kinda not. I am really independant, so not being able to do something myself is sometimes very irritating. :)

But I think this is a good thing. :D

Don't worry - when it gets a bit longer, you will be able to do it yourself again.  Then you can be independent again!

I finally got hubby to help me measure, so from Jan 2 to Feb 15 my hair grew 1 inch.  I'm now at 19.5  ;D
It's starting to feel long, but I've got to trim up the layers.  The idea of that was easier to take when I was at 18.5.  Is that weird or just me??

Even tho I just started yesterday I may as well get a baseline measurement, eh?  Mine is 3.5 inches.  *sigh*  Man, I've got a long way to go!!!    :P

Trisha, I don't think you're measuring correctly. You should be measuring the distance from your hairline in front to the shortest layer in back. Try again, I think you'll like this number a lot better.

Oh!  Hmm...I just pulled a hank straight up on top of my head and measured that.  I do what, now?  --start at the top of my forehead and end at the shortest layer on the back of my head??

Most people start at the front hairline, go over the top of the head and down to the longest hair.

32"

Thanks, gals, I re-measured and you're right, it is longer than I thought.  IF i did it correctly this time (*fingers crossed*) my hair is 7".

I brushed my hair straight back, started the measure at the top of my forehead and ended at the longest layer on the back of my head.

p.s. I don't think the measurement here is correct, so that's why I lined it out.
