Title: DSW's Photo Gallery - Styles for Guy's
Post by DSW on Aug 14th, 2005 at 3:19pm
Hi everyone; :)

In the past, I have posted some of my photos of styles that are somewhat ahead of the norm for guys. Unfortunately, the hosting site for the pics has closed down. I have placed these photos on a new host. So I thought it might be in order to repost them now.

I do not want to be too outrageious but I believe the guys need a little more in the way of options beyond the usual low pony tail. ;)

Sooooo -- here goes:

High Pony Tail:

Half Up Tail:

French Braid:

Topsy Tails: (Not sure what to call this)

Alice Band:

Bun w/ Hair Sticks:

Roller Set:

Roller Set Results:

Whew! I gues that's enough for now.

Regards;

DSW

Check your photobucket and make sure they are uploaded.  And also check to see if your URLs are correct.  I looked up one of the pictures individually and got a Photo Not Found error.  So it will probably one of the two above problems.

Good luck!  Can't wait to see your pics.

Khrome/Gabi;

Thanks for you help!

The photos came up fine when I previewed the post. I am also able to view my other pics on other forums. ????

All the photos were up loaded fine and show up.

Let's try something:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v212/dick05/Styles/25754706.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

dick05 should not show up as thingy05

When I type in my first name it comes out thingy??? It should be the nickname for Richard. This is part of my user name on photobucket.

Oooooh hahaha the profanity filter!  I've had that happen to me before.  Tried to write peac0ck and it kept coming out as peathingy.  Yeah, BB may know a way to bypass it.  For now we can cut and paste.  :-)

Testing

I went to www.tinyurl.com to change the URL

Test Tinylink URL
http://tinyurl.com/agb49

Test Tinylink embedded pic
http://tinyurl.com/agb49

I know, it's kind of a pain to have to run your URLs through tinyurl.  Hopefully there will be a better solution.

Nice hair btw!!  :)

I edited DSW's original post and replaced his "valid" url's with tinypic addresses so that the profanity filter did not change the URLs.

That certainly is a most impressive french braid ... and I've been seeing more and more guys with knots (up with sticks and bound with cloth) - I think it's a great look ...g

Glad BB and Krome - came to the rescue ...g

Great pix and some really good ideas. The "Topsy Tails" one would be most excellent for a RenFest. Thanks for sharing DSW.

Hello all:

Sorry For not keeping up with recent posts here. We live in Lake Charles, LA and are just beginning to recover from Rita.

You might notice that we live in a very wooded area. We have lost at least half of the trees; many of which fell on houses. We had one fall in the center of our house. It is strange that many of the trees just broke off about half way up, leaving this ugly "stalk". Chain saws, stump grinders and cranes are everywhere. The streets are now lined with walls of limbs, logs and rubbish almost 8 feet high on both sides. I may try to post some pics later. Anyway life goes on ------

Thank you for all the nice comments on my various styles. The alice band was one of those stretch comb things that connect together at the ends, making a ring. You place it around your hair line with the comb openings going sort of up and the ends connected at the back or nape area. The band is then pushed up into place on top. It works well but you need to be very careful when removing it to avoid snags.
