i agree, but now you have something that will inspire you to keep growing your hair. ;)

my aunt is the talented one with this stuff, she can do all of those braids, she always did my hair, now she is over seas  :-/

Thing is ... we need to convince our hubs's to study carefully.  Maybe threaten with the cost of professionals  ;D.  That worked for me in hair trimming ...g

I tried that.  Although hubby is fantastic at tieing any kind of knot you would ever need, braiding seems to be beyond him.   He is willing to pay to have my hair braided.......... once a year! ;D  But he does do an excellent job of trimming!

Hubby says: I see split ends  :o

I say: Here are the scissors - PLEASE get them :)

Hubby: Oh no :( Go to the salon. I'm afraid I mess up your hair........

???????

Still have lots of hair training to do. But I guess he can learn as my hair grows  :)

Opportunity lies in the middle of difficulty

I guess I have the advantage with my hubby - he knows that the 3 times I have grown my hair long (beyond mid back), it has been due to salon disasters.  He understands my "fear" of stylists and is willing to help me out.  He also used to cut hair in college to make a little spending money.  ;D
