Title: Best hair ties for 2 year old
Post by Lisabelle on Aug 26th, 2005 at 11:17am
Hi all,

My niece Morgan is about 2 and I wanted to get her some hair ties, hair toys, etc.  She has soft curly blonde hair about four inches long. What would be good to try?  This is the frist female child I have been an Aunt to, all the others were boys (and are now grown men)  So I get to have some fun now!

ooooo - little girl toys!  What fun!  I like what Scunci has to offer.  Most discount stores (Target, Wal-mart) and other stores with hair care products carry at least some of these products.  Careful, though, you might be tempted to buy for yourself!  (I love to put lots of bright colors ties in my hair!)

CUTE Scunci stuff!  The Scunci mini clippies are great for holding bangs out of the way for any age.

If you want bows, here are some sites (I have never ordered from these tho).  Some are headbands, and others are attached to barrettes or clippies:

Bow Lady

Blooming Bows

A bunch of Bows

Seeing some of these sites brough back memories of my cheerleading days...  ;D

We just to make hair ties out of regular hair pony-o's (the nice ones without the metal closure).  We would go to the craft store and buy cool fabrics that matched out outfits, then used those scrapbooking scissors with the zigzag edges to cut strips about 6 inches long.  Depending on how fluffly you want the end result to be you'll need about 50 or so strips.  Then you just take the pony-o and double knot a strip to it.... and continue to do that until you have cute hair accessory!

Hehe, not to worry!  I did a sock bun on her the other day and her mum loved it.  Little Morgan looks sooooo cute!!! She has such nice blonde hair!  All little ringlets and its almost BSL. I would like to get her a good natural shampoo and condistioner.
