Hi. A looong time ago I used White Rain, until I was told that the hairspray had ingredients equivalent to pvc plastic pipe. Yuck. I've only used Neutrogena body oil, no hair products.
I know they're pretty cheap, you could always give 'em a try and see if it works for you. Maybe you just need to do a clarifying rinse? Good Luck!! |

Suave & White Rain are basically on the same level. They're both very cheap for a reason.
Never tried Neutrogena. The dollars to ounces ratio just never made sense to me. But if you're debating between the 2, I'd definitely go with the latter. |

I use Suave Naturals for the first C in my CO routine. The coconut smells very good. It's a nice light conditioner (no cones) that works well for CO.

I have a bottle of hardly used Neutrogena clarifying shampoo. It works okay, but I can't stand the smell. I can't really describe it properly. It's not at all flowery or perfumey, but it has a weird, chemicalish smell to it. Some people don't mind the sent, but I hate it. I hated it even more when I found out that it likes to cling to my hair for a couple of days before finally disappearing. Needless to say, the shampoo didn't get used very much. :P

I recently bought some White Rain "Fruit Fortifying" Shampoo (compare to Garnier Fructis? I don't know...)
It felt so LIGHT compared to Tresemme or Pantene (my usuals), like I was washing my hair with [glb]liquid sunshine[/glb]. It was 86 cents for 20 ounces. I couldn't pass up that deal. I got some conditioner to match, and everything feels so clean and light light light! |

I used to use White Rain a couple of years ago, it was ok for the price, but after repeated use I just didn't care for the way it left my hair. I always loved their scents, though. As for the Neutrogena, I agree with juri, I have the same feelings on the smell, and I never cared for the results, especially considering the cost of it. Suave, Garnier, and any Frieda products are the ones that I've had the worst results with, I couldn't even use the products up! Pantene & Biolage are two that I have come across (so far) that have given me consistent good results. Hope that helps you a bit...
...edited for spelling, oops! |

Neutrogena--Yuck. I tried the shampoo years and years ago it left my hair feeling like straw. Except for garnier fructis (sp?), I have found nothing worse. I also don't like the smell.
I agree that White Rain works well as a CO wash. So far. :-) I am also skeptical about it being so cheap, but then, I have also bought some expensive products that also left my hair damaged, so price doesn't always mean everything (I used to use Biolage--for example--and now it seems to hurt my hair).
