Title: Scaling on scalp
Post by Lisabelle on Dec 7th, 2005 at 2:54pm
Hi All,

Okay, over the years I have a little problem with scaly patches on my scalp, this occured from a perm I got years ago, they did finnaly go away.  Today I was doing my hair and I noticed a scaly patch behind my left ear. I tryed to gentely sctrich it but it was too painfull :'( It's right on the skull behind the ear.  So, I put some of Anais's butter on it to help soften the spot.  Any advise would be great!  I just hope its nothing I cannot handle myself cause it takes about three months to get in to see a dermatologist up here in Ontario. :P

Update:  I had hubby take a look and its a mole.  I am prone to them.  Anais butter did help it and it is feeling better.

Glad you found it was a mole and the shea butter helped.  Have hubby check it from time to time to make sure the mole is not changing size or shape and if it is get in to the doctor immediately.

I have moles that periodically decide to become inflamed and itchy.  A bit of jojoba oil on them usually helps calm them down again.

Hope the irritation is just a dry skin issue for you.
