Title: Back to Basics
Post by Bardot on Jan 4th, 2006 at 3:08am
Hey everyone,

One of the conditioners that I like using now is Back to Basics Replenishing Conditioner, Pomegranate Peach. My hair loves this stuff.  It soaks it right up and my hair feels so soft.  It also smells so great that I don't even mind sleeping in it.  When I use this I get results similar to that of Moisture Maniac Conditioner, which I also love.

Ingredients: Water (aqua), Propylene Glycol, Myristyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Chitosan PCA, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Punica Granatum Extract, Panthenol, Decyl Oleate, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance

I have also tried the Back to Basics sunflower conditioning and detangling spray, but I found that it wasn't strong enough to really do anything to my hair.  It did smell good though so now I use it as hair perfume.

Third, I have the Back to Basics, Color Protecting Conditioner, Blue Lavender but I have not tried it yet.  I think this one has cones in it unlike the Pomegranate peach one.

Lastly, by searching on drugstore.com I see that they have a Green Tea, Reparative Conditioning Balm.  I would love to try this eventually.

Ingredients: Water (aqua), Myristyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, PEG-40 Castor Oil, Shea Butter (Butyrospermium ParkII), Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Watercress (Nasturtium Officinale) Extract, Panthenol, Polysorbate 20, Hydrolized Soy Protein, Propylene Glycol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Propylparaben, Fragrance

Nice to see you again, Bardot! Thanks for the review. I think I had tried Back to Basics once before, but it was so long ago that I don't remember whether or not I liked it.

Great to see you around again!

I've seen the Back to the Basics products around, but I guess I never looked at the ingredients.  Thanks for posting and letting us know we might have another option out there!

Thanks for welcoming me back :). Between school and work I have no time what-so-ever for doing fun stuff on the computer.  No matter how busy I get though,  I always seem to find time for my hair ;D.
