Looking good! Love the tat, I've got two myself. How much hair did you take off?

I've got 7 tatts, have put 'em on further down this thread.  I cut off about 1 1/2 - 2 inches to get rid of all the dead ends and splits. Now i'm ready to begin growing in earnest. ;D My target length is butt length. Just regretting i've made such a hash of it, it needs tidying up but i aint cutting any more. It's healthy, it can wait 3 months. Then i'll let a professional do it.....argh!

Very nice. Your color is nice (it's wet too, I know) You should post a dry picture so we can see your dry color too.
Congrats on getting up the courage to trim. I'm still fighting with myself to take even a little off.
Meg

Well, we got 8 inches of snow last Sunday 12 March. This is the view from my 'office' window at home.
The following day the estate agent comes out and we're now For Sale.
The snow has now gone and it's been the warmest day of the year, such a contrast. On Friday the Builder in Bulgaria sent us the plans for our new build, he is starting to build it tomorrow in our Vineyard/Orchard in Izvorishte.
with the plans for it

March 28th we fly down to London to pick up our Long stay Bulgarian visas. Ooooooooooooooh, it's getting so exiting.
I've now got over 10 pairs of hairsticks and i've just run raw coconut oil through my hair (after making a Thai Curry with the solid stuff). Gorrrrrrrrrrrrrgeous. Life is good.  ;D :D ;)

Beautiful plans and pic of the house! :)  The excitement of it all is crazy, isn't?

Your snow looks just like what we got last week.  We've received almost 18" in less than a week.  But it is melting quickly - we are down to about a foot already.

How exciting to be planning the house and move.  I can't even imagine all the details that need to be dealt with.

My latest hairsticks from a South African Porcupine. Hope he doesn't mind too much. I hear they swipe them, you don't have to hurt a porky to get a 7 1/2inch  quill or two.

Hey, Silly Yak!  How's the preparation for the move going?

Your quills are gorgeous.  How can I get a pair?

and
Can you spot the difference?  :o ha ha. We're leaving for Bulgaria 1st June. I can't wait.
My hair will be photographed in 2 days time, see if it's grown any over the last 2 months.

Our new lurve mobile will tow us and an RV (hopefully) across Europe, hoping to hit the Bulgarian borders around 7th June.

Love the hairsticks and styles!

Cute trailer! We have an RV for camping and whatever - we've used it as an extra bedroom when guests have visited.

Good luck with your travels and the house building.  Let us know how things are going when you have a chance.

Why thank you, you've very kind. I use Lush Henna, smells like a fresh mown lawn. Trouble is it looks like something you don't want to drive across borders in Eastern Europe with so i'm worried how i'm going to get hold of it once we move. ???

Can you mail it to your new address?  Or to someplace where you can pick it up?

I am finally back online in Bulgaria. We arrived July 1st and have got a much bigger family. 2 cats 2 dogs 7 ducks and 6 chickens. We've also got 9 Turkish builders on site 7 days a week for the last month. (see website for new build, i think we're on page 6 now).

Well my darling husband took my hairlength photo yesterday and i'm sure my hair is GETTING SHORTER. :-/ i'm totally gutted AND it looks as if i'm putting on weight too judging from my back. It's hard to do my workouts in front of 9 guys so i haven't been doing them and boy is it showing.
On top of that my hair has been damaged by the 100 degree sunshine this summer (below 45 today) which means i've got to chop at least 2 inches by the looks of it.
Taken in March/May of this year and yesterday...........

I could cry.
I kept my hair up in a pony tail (hairsticks kept catching on the caravan awning, caravan door, van door) thinking this would be enough to protect it. Obviously not. To make matters worse i haven't the language skills to go to a hair dresser and ask for just a trim and my husband always a) cuts too much off AND b) cuts it at an angle.
The only good news is i've found a henna supplier on ebay who posts to Bulgaria.
Everything else in my life (apart from the sudden cold snap) is really good.
Sorry, just had to moan to people who understand how it is to want to have long healthy hair. :'(

Good to see you around again!  Sorry about your hair woes.... maybe it is just the stress that has slowed your growth?  Give it time - it will grow.

Awww, honey!  *hugs*  C'mon on, now...chin up!  This is only a bump in the road, not a big ol' mountain that can't be crossed.  Never give up!  Never surrender!!

Awwww thanks guys. Actually, i did chop off 3 inches at the weekend and it feels so much nicer to touch now it's not like straw so i guess what i lost on the swings i've gained on the roundabouts. I'll grab a photo of it tomorrow. I've never bothered measuring but i'm going to tomorrow and start putting entries into the measurement section. I have no idea how short my hair is now.
Thanks for putting it into perspective for me.XXX ;)

I have just had a look on Lush's overall website, and I think they have stores in Serbia and Romania, but not Bulgaria.  I don't know which store would be closest to you or whether you would want to try bringing one of those henna blocks back... but I thought that you would like to know!
