Title: Scunci Magic Bun Maker
Post by nancyn28 on May 13th, 2006 at 9:37pm
Today i got a scunci magic bun maker at walgreens and I actually got I to work!  I am wondering, however, if anyone else has tried this and had luck, and if it will be too damaging to use?  Thanks in advance for any input. :D

Ok, I will attempt to bring a link to the picture.....ok, it won't work. Go to www.walgreens.com and in the search area type in scunci magic bun accessory and it will so a picture.  So sorry I can't figure this out. :-[

I'm also not able to put a picture of myself on here either, perhaps my husband will help some day. :'(

I saw it and it looks alittle scary!!!  Don't know if it would tear or break your hair!  Let us know how you like it and if it's worth the effort, please :)

Well, this is the second day I've used it and I like it so far.  I agree that it does look scary, but I picked it up because it was relatively cheap and it had no metal parts.  The plastic teeth are a little scary but I'm just sure to be very careful when I remove it.

The layers around my face are not long enough to reach the bun maker so I use a small clip or a small french braid at the top of my head and then it all works fine

I like it because it does not pull my hair.  I'm not talented enough to do "real" buns and scrunchie and headband buns seem to pull my hair in that they feel heavy.

I'm thinking that I'll mainly just use it on the weekends because it keeps my hair out of my face.  These stupid layers around my face are driving me nuts and I figure if I keep them out of my way they'll seem to grow faster.  I do hope that I'm not causing damage, but ending up with my hair in my mouth is damaging too.....

Sounds like you are  being very careful and attentive, that's the whole point isn't it? :)  Those layers will be gone soon enough as your hair grows......patience patience my longhaired sister!!! ;D

Hi nancyn28!

I looked this hairtoy up and found I have two of them!  They make a neat bun for when I do house work but I dont' use them as much as I use to.  The ones I got are small and my hair doesnt' fit in them anymore.  I know layers can be a real pain.  Took me a year to grow mine out. Patience is the key  ;)

Lisabelle-

There ya'll go with that patience word again  :D

I immagine I won't be able to use for long, but it serves it purpose for now.  Thanks for the input.!
