Title: How to finish french braid?

Ok, I realize this is probably a stupid question but I must ask it anyway. How does one complete the braid down their back? I am fairly good at french braiding my hair, however, once I get to about my neck, my arms won't reach down my back. When I try to bring it over to one side it pulls on one side and slips out of the other. Any ideas? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :'( :'( :'( :'(

Another thing that I've done is to bend over and bring the braid in front of my head and finish that way.

Thank you. I've never thought about that. Does it usually stay fairly tight?
