Title: A reccomendation and a warning...
Post by Joan-Ivy on Jun 21st, 2006 at 3:42pm
Evil chemicals in evil shampoos and conditioners are not to my liking anymore... I do NOT reccomend Loreal's "elvital nutri-gloss". When I stopped using it because I find out about the numerous "cones" in it, my hair went dry and icky. No good at ALL. So beware. >:(

What I on the other hand do reccomend to you all is the Body Shop's Honey-products. They leave the hair moistured and smooth, and feels so much fresher because of the more natural-ish ingredients. And body shop's wooden comb is also very nice, and so unexpensive! ((Thank you 13bodies for the tip!  ;D ))

So, uh... Go Honey-stuff and thumbs down for silicone-products.  ::)

Thanks for sharing.  I have two of the body shop combs-I love 'em!

Help:  I am searching to replace my child-stepped-on ONE barrette style which made me look quite beautiful:  I don't know what they are called to search and can't find them in beauty supply or drug stores:

It is a plastic double comb long vertical barrette with a hinge at the bottom and twists together at the top.  The comb points have to be not dull for my fine hair.  The one I loved had gathered fabric to make long bows up the sides to hide the combs themselves.  It DRAPED my hair back but didn't pull too severely for a pretty effect.

I did buy two plain medium length ones recently but they are not grippy enough for my fine hair nor long enough to catch all hair from the base of the scalp to the crown.

Please reply with a name of this device and where to buy, thank you,

Adavis - I'm not sure if they go by a new name now, but in the 80's, they were known as banana clips.
