I'm coming in at 32 inches this month.  How is everyone else doing?

I measured 31" today.  That is waist length for me.  

33 inches for me!

I'm at 21" even.

I haven't measured for several months, so this is great!!  I plan to do a small trim soon to work out some layers.  Probably won't measure again for awhile.  Too discouraging after a trim :P

Thanks for the encouragement Curlgirl64.  Real Life has me so busy I haven't had the energy to check the boards for awhile.  :-/  The 3 day weekend is giving me a brief breather before RL runs amok again ;)  Never fear, I am still growing and enjoying long hair ;D

Hey, I just checked for my last measurement -- it was April at 25".  So in 5 months (?!?!) I've grown 2.75" of hair.  That's what happens when you chill and just let hair do it's thing 8)  Oh, and btw, I was talking about maybe trimming in April, and never got around to it.  I think I will this weekend. ::)

I have 12 inches now, if I'm measuring correctly...kind of wimpy but I did start out at 3 inches when I got here two years ago.  ;)

What exactly IS the correct way to measure?

!2 inches is nothing to feel wimpy about!  Good for you!  Take a taylor's tape measure and start at the forehead,drap the tape measure over your head,down the back of your head and measure the longest hair(s).  That's your measurement.  Either when your hair is wet or dry,just be consistent,choose either way. :)

That doesn't seem possible somehow, because when I measured it that way, I came out to almost 20 inches...

Of course, I measured my hair differently when I first got here...my hair was so extremely short at the time, I actually lifted my hair up away from the scalp to line it up with the tape measure. And I've been measuring it that way ever since to be consistent. That's how I measured it yesterday, and it was 12 inches long. But the distance from my forehead to the end of my longest hair in back is 20 inches.

I'm not sure what my length would have been two years ago if I had been measuring the way you describe. It probably just would have been the distance from my forehead to my neck - not actually the length of my hair at the time.

Now I'm confused. Either way, it's longer than it was.  ;)

23" here....just 1" away from my goal length of 2 feet!!

Sadly, I'm in dire need of a trim, so heaven knows when I'll reach said goal.

I just finished posting my pictures of my hair now and from July 05. I checked and I've gone from 22" in Aug. 05 to 27.5" in Sept. 06. I have had a trim, but only one. I don't know if I should be impressed or not.  :-/

My brother helped me measure last night.  I've got 16.5 inches, which is much longer than I had thought.

After reading how you take a measurement, I got out the tapemeasure. Mine is 32.5 inches.

Oh well, I'll make myself happy and start measuring from the forehead instead.  ;D Seems a lot easier and more consistent also.
I'm at 30 inches (just past my waist) when hair's dry and wavy. Wohoo!  ::)
And for the first time measuring, my hair is in no need of a trim.  *doing super-funky dances* 8)
