Post by Rainbow on Oct 10th, 2006 at 2:04pm
My.patience.has.just.about.had.it.

I.would.not.mind.if.i.were.just.growing.my.hair.long.
that.is.not.a.problem.as.my.hair.grows.fast.

The.problem.is.that.my.root.regrowth.looks.awful.
I.have.3.inches.of.virgin.hair.and.i.cant.wear.my.
hair.down.it.just.looks.a.mess.not.to.mention.it.is.
about.skimming.the.shoulders.which.is.very.short.
for.me

This.growing.out.phase.seems.to.last.forever.i.
calculated.that.it.wont.be.until.sep07.when.i.can.
finally.wear.my.hair.down.without.the.two.tone.look.

Help!Thats.another.year.I.feel.so.not.pretty.with.this.two.
tone.root.regrowth.look

For.anyone.considering.abusing.their.virgin.hair.with.
dye.dont.do.it.if.you.dont.like.it.the.regrowth.is.horrible!!! >:(

I know you don't want to dye your hair, but the reality is, if you don't want two-toned hair, you will either have to cut the processed hair, or you will need to dye the processed hair to match your natural hair.  If you use a good hair coloring, and only use it once, you won't overly damage your virgin hair.  It is the repeated processing that will damage your hair the most.  The ends of my hair were lightened several times, but the damage is not significant.  I do try to keep them moisturized by oiling and conditioning regularly.  So it is not impossible to have color treated hair that can be in good condition.
