Title: I went to Lush...
Post by British brunette on Dec 15th, 2006 at 12:09pm
...and said to one of the people behind the till:

"I have a technical question..."

"Oh," said the woman,"what is it?"

"How many blocks of Les Cacas do you reckon it would take to do all of this," I said, presenting my braid "if I was feeling rather brave?"

"Anywhere from 3 or 4 blocks... but that is the longest and most beautiful hair I have ever seen!"

At this point, another assistant looks over, and is also rather startled.  I didn't get any Les Cacas today, but they did say if I wanted to try a strand test to come back and they'll give me a little bit.  I do not know if other Lush places would/do do this, but if you are feeling adventurous, it might be worth trying!

There were also comments on the slightly blonde bits at the front from the sun - they've always been lighter, and when I was little, I was completely blonde!  You wouldn't think it now from the pictures, would you?

Only a quality store would offer product for a strand test.

Now for my dumb question..... what is Les Cacas?  What will it do for your hair?

It's the blocks of Henna that Lush sell - you can get different proportions of red/black henna in them depending on how you want it to come out.  So you'd get Noir if you want black hair/ want to add extra shine to it, or Rouge if you want to go bright red.

Thank you!  I had the feeling it was henna, but wasn't sure.  Having light brown/dark blonde hair, I dont' think either would fit my taste.  I am trying to work up the courage to try the "neutral henna" or cassia on my hair.....one of these days.  ::)
