So the news is a little old, but...

Just before Christmas (the 23rd, I think) I was shopping in WalMart for some last-minute things and saw a gal with long, beautiful hair. If I remember correctly, it was somewhere between classic and knee-length. I was going to admire quietly and walk past, when I thought of all the stories on here. So I decided to just walk up and tell her how pretty her hair was. It really was beautiful!

Aww, that was sweet of you, ScrapGirl. I bet you made that lady's day. ;)

I did that once with an employee at Target who had waist length, black hair and was wearing it down. Not sure if the black was natural or not, but it looked great anyway. Especially with such a lovely pallor as she had. I wish I looked like that! So as I was passing her in an aisle, I told her that I loved her hair. She was totally flattered. :D

Little compliments like that often take people by surprise, and it makes them feel great, which makes me feel great. The world needs a lot more of that. :)

Congratulations on making her day. It's the little things that make a person smile and I'm sure she smiled the rest of the day because of you.
