I was hanging out with Riley The Modified Librarian a few days ago with my BF, Riley's GF, and an ebay auction (long story) and noticed his hair. It had to have been the Male equivalent of BSL, or longer. Such a pretty dark brown that I couldn't stop staring. Normally he's got it dyed black(semi-permanent, I'd assume) for shows with his gothic rock band Kali Yuga (got to have the proper look for the stage, right? *shakes head*), but they've not had any recently so his natural, gorgeous color and length were showing. I happened to take a peek in the bathroom and he's got more hair stuff than I do.
I need to go back over next time he has a barbeque and take pictures of his hair.
It's not fair, darnit. I want hair that pretty.

Isn't it ironic how men seem to be born with the features that women covet? Healthy hair...long, thick eyelashes...etc. And all with minimum effort! Meanwhile we have to spend ungodly amounts of time and $$$ to maintain ourselves. It just ain't right.  ::)

My former husband was notorious in his teens and early 20's for his long hair. The longest he ever had it was mid-back length, like your friend's, and he would also occasionally dye it black with a semi-permanent.
   His natural colour and texture changed quite a bit as he grew older, however. When I met him, his hair was shoulder length and nearly blonde with a slight natural wave. But it grew much darker and curlier through the years...and began falling out when he was 22. By 26, he was very nearly bald (a subtle bit of revenge for me, as we were divorced by then  ;)).

Strangely enough, my last bf had great hair, too...when he left it alone, that is. Naturally, it was cornsilk blonde (but with far more dimension than you typically see in blonde hair) with a loose wave and thicker than a horse's tail. He treated it terribly and it still looked better than mine.  ::)  Ah well. He probably shaved his head after we broke up anyway. lol

But yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. Guys have it so easy...

 It's rare to see it on men these days!  I love my long hair and will keep long as long as it looks decent.  i just can't get past the three feet length though.  It thins and I trim it back ....and on and on.  I really like the compliments I get from long hair lovers, although compliments are infrequent.  Just wish I had thick hair like some of you lucky people do.............

Blondestorm, I was going through the show off your hair section earlier, and, though the pictures weren't recent, you did have awesome looking hair. Trust me though, thick hair is a curse in the summer... expecially in almost subtropical climates like here in the deep south.
