Hello,I have just registered after finding an interesting site that caters for males with long hair.My hair is not particularly long yet,I have only let it go since August last year from a pretty severe no.4,it is perhaps in the very awkward stage.I have had it long before, mid back length as far as it seemed to want to grow, which looked a permanent mess, because it did it's own thing and tangled for the hell of it despite many potions tried.I was not happy to cut it short, but I was persuaded to do so by my ex,but that is past, now I can be me and get my mane back.

Welcome Yetti! Tell us more about your hair! Curly? straight? blonde? brown?

Maybe here you can find some tips to keep it from tangling quite so badly :)
Best of luck to you.

Kiraela

Thankyou all to those who have welcomed me to these forums. In answer to you Kiraela,my hair is dark brown, thick and curly.Sort of straightish apart from the ends when it is under control, but the slightest damp or rain,it curls uncontrolably into ringlet things, sometimes like a pigstail and is where the tangles occur. When under control it is that way for minutes, before it does it's own thing and just  looks unkempt and tangly.I tend not to use chemicals if I can help it,conditioner just creates flyaway hair. What products I tend to use are those from 'Lush'.

Hello and welcome!  I hope we can help you with growing and maintaining your locks.  We have a number of curlyheads around here that I'm sure can make some suggestions on controlling those curls and minimizing the tangles.
