My hair grows really slowly too, so I know your frustration. Just make sure to keep getting regular trims - not cuts, trims. And you should see some improvement.

And don't even worry about your age - there are actually quite a few teenage girls who post here. Just be careful not to reveal too much personal info. This site unfortunately attracts quite a few fetishists as well. :P
