Title: where are all the good sleepcaps?
Post by bluberri on Aug 1st, 2008 at 2:41pm
I need some help finding a good sleep cap for my hair.  Its 50 in long (last measure) and kinda thick (plus its still growing).  I tried a XL sleep bonnet but after 4 months my hair has stretched it too loose to stay on well.  I prefer to keep up like in the bonnet because I co sleep with my ds2 and he will pull it.  What do y'all do???

I haven't had much luck with sleep caps either! But not because my hair is too long, but because I must not have enough, or my head is odd shaped. They seem to slip right off!

*Hopes one day she can say her hair is 50 in. long!*

well I use satin pillowcases and when I braid my hair I use my creation called Satin Sox for Long Locks.  Works fine for me!

I am curious about your creation :-?. What is it exactly, I know I don't have long hair, but I am thinking it might come in handy down the road, way down.... :-/

I got one sleep cap from Sally's beauty supply and one from Meijer's in Michigan.  I saw the same one I got from Meijer's in my local CVS pharmacy.

Deva Lifewear makes a cotton sleep cap I've been thinking about buying.

Its cotton though.  The other 2 I have are slippery synthetic and I don't know if that impacts my ends.  I think it would work if you just wanted to keep your hair from getting pulled.

Edit: I just googled and came up w/this.  Looks promising for your length.
