Hi,
I just heard about this place today and after looking at some pictures, I've changed my mind about that haircut I had planned!
I had very short hair until I was a teenager, my mom just loved giving me those pixie cuts, you know, the kind with the uneven bangs...I let my hair grow when I finally asked my mom to stop cutting my hair...hey, it was the 60's and I did as I was told! So, I let my hair grow for about 10 years with a trim now and again. When I started having children, my hair became unhealthy looking, so I kept it shoulder length or shorter. It was when I was hitting 40 that I started letting it grow again. I donated 10 inches last year to Susan G. Komen for the cure. I was thinking of having my hair cut shoulder length, despite my husband's pleas to leave it alone. Now that I have visited this site and seen how beautiful long hair is, I'm going to let it grow!.
My hair is straight, fine, reddish brown with a few gray hairs here and there. I use White Rain shampoo because it is not tested on animals and is not expensive like some brands that are cruelty free.

Welcome to LongLocks! Your story is sooo familiar. There are many of us who have gone from pixie short to long hair. Long can be healthy and beautiful.
