Title: hair getting damaged when short
Post by Jilayne75 on Aug 28th, 2008 at 6:16pm
Hi everyone! :)

I read somewhere that hair that is shorter, like above or touching the shoulders (for example, my hair that is a little bit longer thhan chin length) can get damaged easier. It's supposedly from rubbing on your shoulders when you lean your head back and things like that. Do you think this is true? If so, my hair isn't quite long enough to fit into a ponytail yet, do you ladies have any ideas on what us shorter-haired people could do?

Any comments would be greatly appreaciated! ;D

Hmmmm, I've never heard that.   :-/  The only rationale I can think of to support the claim is that people with shorter hair tend to have to style it more.  Many styling techniques (hair dryer, curling iron, flat iron, brushes, alcohol based styling products) will cause damage.  If you stay away from the hair damaging actions, you should be fine.  If you are to believe that short hair "causes" damage - none of us would have long hair!!!  ;D
