Title: Some Chamomile Recipes
Post by moew27 on Oct 4th, 2008 at 7:09pm
The Chamomile and yogurt recipe calls for plain yogurt.  It is suppose to lighten your hair. Here is the url for the recipe.

I may just use a chamomile rinse. I will include the recipe at the bottom of this post. Either way, I will let you know how it looks. Maybe post a before and after picture.

- If you think you having breakage, you could try some of the new shampoos that are meant for people trying to grow their hair long. There are several of them on the market now.  I have been using the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo "Length & Strength" for fragile, Hard-To-Grow-Long Hair. It says it helps repair split ends.

Written on the back it says it makes hair 5 times stronger and 5 times smoother.

I also was having a problem with my hair falling out because I had done the unthinkable.
I had bleached it! :(

Then I read an article in the newspaper, written by a doctor, about a conditioner that lots of doctors recommend to their patients who have problems with hair loss.
It is called TRESemme Vitamin E Moisture Rich for Dry or Damaged Hair Conditioner.

I have been using it for a couple months and I loose many fewer hairs now. The problem is every hair I loose is so long and so precious it still seems like a lot. ::)

Highlight Fair Hair With Chamomile

Step1
Purchase chamomile tea at a grocery store or health food store.
Alternatively, you can buy dried chamomile anywhere that sells bulk herbs.

Step2
Use an enamel or glass pot to make a rinse. Metal pots will react with the chamomile and alter its lightening effect.

Step3
Add 1 cup chamomile flowers or tea to 2 cups heated water in the pot. Allow it to boil gently for 30 minutes. Let it cool to a comfortable, lukewarm temperature before you use it--this can take several hours.

Step4
Strain the chamomile flowers through a plastic sieve and collect the liquid in a bowl. Wash your hair as usual and use the chamomile lightening liquid as a final rinse. When you pour it through your hair, catch it into the bowl again and rinse it through your hair several times this way.

Step5
Dry your hair in the sun if possible, as this strengthens the effect of the chamomile rinse. Use the tea often to keep your subtle highlights fresh or to attain the effect you desire.

Ooh! I've been wondering about lightening your hair without destroying it.
And I'll look ito the Garnier Fructis s/c as well. I am gonna need a new set really soon.  Thank you very much!

This is interesting. I've always been a huge fan of this conditioner.
