I like how one of them says that reducing heat exposure is good. However, they recommend 'protective products'. I'm not convinced they help at all-- if your hair smells like burnt toast afterwards then you definitely got damaged. And it always smells like that. One of the many reasons I hate straightening my hair.

Though they do have some good ideas, I dont like how they say that for most people, using heat stylers/hair tools is inevitable.

I felt that for a "mainstream" article on hair and specifically one that reference hair care used on famous people (who we KNOW abuse their hair), that the suggestions were pretty good. Sure they talk about using heat, but at least they acknowledge it will damage the hair and recommend options as well as the protective products. I think this is a general trend towards encouraging healthier hair care. :)
