Title: How long will this take?
Post by ForeverFay on Nov 12th, 2008 at 9:36pm
My hair is now 16.5 inches(yay!) and falls right at armpit length.I plan on growing it out to BSL but I know it's going to be a while until then. But I was wondering about how long probably?BSL on my would be about 19-20 inches or so.Obviously that's about 3 1/2-4 inches away from now.I measured my hair it CAN grow 1 1/2 in 2 months but not always.

And once I hit this length will it actually look like BSL or would it need to be several inches later before it actually looked it?

Thanks a bunch!

The average for hair growth is 1/2" per month without trims.  A variety of things can affect the growth to speed it up or slow it down.  High hormones (adolesence, pregnancy) will increase the growth rate, low hormones (menopause), stress, and poor diet will decrease the growth rate.  Some people will also experience a change in the growth rate with the seasons, particularly if they live in the more temperate zones that have extreme differences between summer and winter.

Measure your hair growth each month to see how it compares and come up with your own average and use this to determine when you will reach your goal.

Is there any way I can de-stress myself?I have a very high amount of stress for someone my age due to working a job, college classes in high school, and after shcool activities.

Hello!  ;D

This may seem a bit random, but my mom gets this magazine called "body and soul" and sometimes I read it. It has a website, and has lots of great tips on eating well, excersising, stress releif and much more. It's called www.wholeliving.com. It does have a stress releif section also under "self help". Hope I helped!

                                   -Jilayne :)
