Title: Janeisgreen's bath bar
Post by janeisgreen on Jan 3rd, 2009 at 12:06pm
I'm new here and happy to find you all. I've been wondering whether to cut my hair. It's not that long (mid back), but I'm getting rather tired of it. I thought I'd check out long hair groups before making a decision -- I'm glad I did cuz it's given me new appreciation for my hair just as it is.

Now, in relation to Burt's Bees products: I'm not sure if I'm allowed to plug, but I make an 82% organic hemp oil soap & shampoo bar, plus lip balms and other things that are 100% natural. See the following testimonial which you'll find on my website (www.smallbones.ca):

"Jane, after trying three other natural shampoo bars we finally found one we love - YOURS!  Our hair is clean, shiny, full of life, and for the first time in my life, I don't need a 'conditioner'.  Your shampoo bar does it all.  And, by the way, it beat out "Burt's Bee's" shampoo bar which we will now use to wash the dog!  Thanks again." I believe that no commercial product is 100% natural because in order to mass produce you must include preservatives and emulsifiers. I don't have to do that, as I make very small batches at a time and for some products, you have to shake to mix the ingredients (I always find it amusing that sometimes people find that strange!).

Anyway, I've been using my own shampoo bar for about two years now, with no conditioner or anything else. That's the only product in my bath tub! I use it "from the top of my head to the tip of my toes." I'm in a cold climate, so in the winter my hair sometimes gets a static charge. Then I just draw a wire hanger over it to absorb the charge. When potential customers in my shop (it's home-based) feel my hair, they're always pleasantly surprised by its good condition.

Off to check out the rest of the forum posts now!

Welcome to LongLocks.  Your product sounds very interesting and based on your other posts, you are very knowledgable of the ingredients.  Hope you can take time to make an introduction in our New Members area.
