Good news:
My hair has grown over 5 inches since August 2008 :D :D :D

Semi-bad news:
My hair is still at 22 1/2 icnhes because last tiem I measured was the middle of Januray so I need to wait til the middle of Feb.  :-/

Annoying news: My ticker is wrong and I won't hit mid back in 20 days. darn. but I may hit BSL in a month or two.....let's find out

Even worse bad news: My hair is dry because os the weather but I don't know how to oil it witthout it getting gross and greasy, help? :-?

the worst bad news:I don't know how to spell Febauary..... :o this can't be good.

Until the middle of the month

Ace.

Oh and I just wanted to thank everyone on this site for being such a supportive group of people and helping me(and others) out on getting through these annoying trials of those grwoing out stages. Though I think for me I may still have a few more years of those stages because I plan on geting my hair at least to waist length. :D yay for ambitions!

Forever Fay, that must be frustrating.

I'm at 18,5".  When it gets to 20" I fear it'll be time for a trim.  I can't wait until I'm past 20" and that trims won't take me above 20".  I can't think further than that.  I still think 18,5" shows a pretty good growth over one month.

I've been taking good care of my hair and always keeping it under a knit hat and the jacket when I go out.

21.5 this month, right on schedule.  :)

I also measured my ponytail thickness.  The first time I did this back in August, I got just barely two inches.  Now it's between 2.25 and 2.5.  In that time I could have had almost three inches of new growth, since my hair seems to grow just a tad more than .5 inches per month, and I measured my 'tail both times high up on my head.  I guess that means I'm getting less breakage close to my scalp, or my hair's growing in thicker.  Happy!

My next trim will be at the beginning of May, at 23 inches, if all goes as planned.

Hmph.  It's been about a year, and I've only grown about 2 inches. (well, in between trims) :(  Actually, that makes sense - if, on average, hair grows at about 6 inches a year, considering I get mine trimmed an inch or two at a time, and I've just had a trim a couple of days ago...I shouldn't be too disheartened.  Plus that was only a rough guess - my hairs all ringlety since I had it up in rags last night, so until I've washed them out, it's going to be difficult to get a good reading.  I really need out to start doing the measuring thing each month, rather than yearly....

OK, so wet, it's 26.6 inches - that's actually 3 1/2 inches more than it was in May.  I'll take my photo for comparison once it's dry.

The weirdest thing happened to me.
I measured my hair again and it's sitting right at 22 inches. Before it was at 22 1/2 inches.Am I measuring wrong? My hair sure looks longer but the tapemeasurer has lied to me before.People have been commenting on how healthy and pretty my hair is.I always blush and say,"I try"I think I'm one of the few girls who doesn't blowdry or straighten her hair ever.(Well I did once last week but that was a completely necessary time)

Any ideas on:
-vintage looks for a girl with bangs, almost BSL,and layers
-stuff I can put in my hair to make it less frizzy and less dandriff-ee
-buns with layers?I'm at a loss

Nice to be back

Your hair looks good.  My trim's next month but at least by the end of summer I hope my hair looks similar to yours in length.
