NEEDVILLE, Texas - A Native American student who was banned from class because he has long hair is back in school, KPRC Local 2 reported.

The Needville Independent School District to allow 5-year-old Adriel Arocha in school because his hair violated its dress code.

A federal judge ruled that the school district violated the constitution and Adriel's religious rights by not allowing him to attend class.

Sheesh...... I thought we were beyond this kind of stuff. I'm glad the kid was allowed back in school. Why would anyone think his long hair would interfere with his education?? >:(
