Title: how to keep track?
Post by pvtteeny on Apr 11th, 2009 at 9:21pm
hey all,

Well, after much hemming and hawing and procrastination I finally got up the nerve to cut 6 inches off my hair  :'(

I knew I had to, it was starting to get tangled easily, which doesn't happen when my hair's happy. I have really fine hair and am trying to coax it into growing a little longer. It's now at about 32.5 inches (I had a difficult time measuring by myself) I don't know exactly how fast it grows, so want to keep track in order to set up a better trimming routine. Do any of you have suggestions for me? I know at one point I saw a lot of gals with a progress tracker on their posts...I guess I could try pre arranging check ups on my calendar? I'm just afraid I'll forget.

I'm sure that was a very difficult decision, and that you'll be happier with the health of your hair in the long run!

Writing it down on a calender would work-I keep track in my palm pilot.

Monthly measuring is essential for tracking hair growth. You'll have to learn how to do this by yourself. Use a fabric tape measure and 2 mirrors so you can see where your hair stops on the tape measure. Then, record your measurements each month.

I record mine not only here, but on paper with measurements of years past so I have a general idea of how much growth to expect each month. HTH
